Author Michele Torrey

Author Michele Torrey explores the depths of her imagination while writing novels for young adults and middle-grade.

Doyle and Fossey: Science Detectives (Dutton), a chapter book series for grades 3-5, stars Drake Doyle and Nell Fossey, the best science detective geniuses in the fifth grade.

Michele’s historical adventures, such as To the Edge of the World and Voyage of Ice (Knopf), written for middle-grade and young adult audiences, deliver heart-pounding adventures and resourceful heroes. Michele’s award-winning books are also published internationally.

Michele regularly presents at writers conferences and workshops such as the Pacific Northwest Writers Association, the University of Washington extension program in children’s literature, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Michele also enjoys connecting with her young readers and makes regular appearances at schools.

She lives in Washington State.
